Jig

Jig Terms of Service

Refract Technologies Ltd, trading as Jig. Registered in England, company number 16914050, registered office 8 Alexandra Road, 1 Queens Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 6GS. Version 1.0, 31 October 2026.

1. The service

1.1 Jig formats candidate CVs into your agency's own template. You email a CV to the service address, and a Word and PDF version in your template comes back to the same thread, normally within 10 minutes. A second address returns an anonymised profile instead. Consultant notes sent with the CV are used to fill the boxes in your template that a CV cannot answer and, if your template has one, a short draft profile paragraph.

1.2 Set-up is by email: your onboarding contact sends your template once, approves a sample, and the service is live for everyone at your email domain.

1.3 The service is provided to businesses only. By subscribing you confirm you are acting in the course of a business.

2. Your account

2.1 The person who subscribes is your onboarding contact. They can add or remove other contacts by email. Only onboarding contacts can change your template.

2.2 Anyone sending from your agency's email domain can use the service. You are responsible for who has an address on your domain. Jig does not accept CVs from personal email providers.

2.3 Keep your onboarding contact current. If that person leaves and no one else is listed, email hello@usejig.co.uk from your domain and we will verify and update it.

3. Price and payment

3.1 Plans are priced by the number of consultants using the service in a month, with unlimited CVs within fair use. The current plans and prices are on usejig.co.uk. Prices exclude VAT.

3.2 You pay monthly in advance by card through Stripe. Your Stripe customer portal holds your invoices and card details.

3.3 Each month we count the distinct senders at your domain. If the count exceeds your plan, we email your onboarding contact and your plan moves up from the next invoice. If it is under your plan for two months running, it moves down the same way. Plans never change mid-month.

3.4 Fair use. Each plan carries a monthly CV allowance well above normal use. If you exceed it repeatedly we will talk to you about the right plan; we do not cut you off or bill per CV.

3.5 If a payment fails, Stripe retries. If it has not succeeded after 14 days the service pauses until it does. Nothing is deleted except on the normal 7-day schedule.

3.6 We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email. The change applies from your next renewal after the notice period. You can cancel before then.

4. Term and cancellation

4.1 The subscription runs month to month from the day you subscribe. There is no minimum term.

4.2 Cancel any time by emailing hello@usejig.co.uk from your onboarding contact's address, or through the Stripe portal. The subscription ends at the end of the month you have paid for. No refunds for part months.

4.3 You can pause instead of cancelling: email us and we will pause billing for up to three months while keeping your template.

4.4 We may end your subscription on 30 days' notice, or immediately if you breach clause 5 or do not pay.

5. Acceptable use

5.1 Send only documents you have the right to process. You are the controller of candidate data; see the Data Processing Agreement.

5.2 Do not use the service to process documents that are not candidate CVs, to test or probe the system, or to resell formatting to third parties.

5.3 Do not send malware, or documents designed to interfere with the service.

6. What we promise and what we do not

6.1 We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care, and keep the security measures described in the Data Processing Agreement.

6.2 Timing. "Within 10 minutes" is what the service normally does. It is not a guarantee. If a CV will be late, the sender is told, with an honest time.

6.3 Accuracy. The service reproduces the content of the CV you send; it does not invent content. It can still make mistakes. You review every document before it goes to a client. A profile paragraph drafted from your notes is labelled DRAFT and is yours to edit.

6.4 Availability. The service is monitored around the clock. The inbound mailbox is the queue: if the service is interrupted, CVs are not lost; they are processed when it resumes.

6.5 Everything not stated here is excluded so far as the law allows, including implied terms about fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Liability

7.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

7.2 Subject to 7.1, neither party is liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of a placement or fee, or any indirect or consequential loss.

7.3 Subject to 7.1 and 7.2, Jig's total liability under or in connection with these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Data

8.1 The Data Processing Agreement at usejig.co.uk/dpa is part of these terms. Candidate data is deleted within 7 days of delivery. The sub-processor list is at usejig.co.uk/sub-processors. Our privacy notice is at usejig.co.uk/privacy.

8.2 Your template and your account details are kept for the life of your subscription and deleted 30 days after it ends unless you ask us to keep them for a later restart.

9. Intellectual property

9.1 Your template, your logo and the content of the CVs are yours. You grant Jig a licence to use them only to provide the service to you.

9.2 The service, its software and its documentation are Jig's. You get a right to use the service, not ownership of anything in it.

10. General

10.1 Changes. We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by email. If you do not accept a change, cancel before it takes effect.

10.2 Notices. By email: you to hello@usejig.co.uk, us to your onboarding contact.

10.3 Neither party is liable for delay caused by events outside its reasonable control, except that payment obligations stand.

10.4 These terms, the Data Processing Agreement and the current price page are the whole agreement. No other terms, including any on your purchase order, apply.

10.5 Law and courts: England and Wales.
